Dipped in a gold bath the glasses and carafes set created by Front, offers a random image, almost playful, of the golden classics. Worthy of a regal table, they propose a contemporary and ironic version of luxury.
Formed in 2003, Front is a group of three Swedish designers: Sofia Lagerkvist, Charlotte von de Lancken and Anna Lindgren. They are all involved in each project, from the creative phase right through to final production. Their work is based on reflections on things and their relationships with people. Their designs always have a story to tell about the processes, conventions of use, materials and colours. Their aim is to create unusual design for everyday objects. Interested in exploring the immaterial, they apply themselves to visualization of their projects, convinced that representation is an important means of diffusion. They have already taken part in many exhibitions all over the world, various projects for companies, such as Moooi and Moroso and for important art and design galleries. They are the winner of the Arkitektur & Wohnen Designer of the Year in 2010(Cologne, Germany).
