Bonnard Branding by Anagrama

Mexico based agency Anagrama is specialized in brand development and one of their most recent projects is for a tea and confection shop called Bonnard.

From their website: Bonnard is a Mexican french-inspired tea and confectionary shop. The brand’s distinct brush strokes and color selection are based on Pierre Bonnard’s post impressionist paintings. The simple art direction, together with french words and phonetics round up the brand’s gallic concept effortlessly, spontaneously and efficiently.

Our approach with clean, sans-serif typography gives Bonnard a luxurious feel mostly associated with high-end fashion brands. The gold foil stamp and clean type directly contrasts and at the same time elevates the would-be informal paint marks.

The rounded cross icon detail found in the wording relates to the shapes of macaroons, one of Bonnard’s prime delicacies.

Anamorphic Sculptures by Jonty Hurwitz

London-based artist Jonty Hurwitz created these Anamorphic Sculptures which only reveal themselves when facing a reflective cylinder.

Hurwitz took an engineering degree in Johannesburg where he discovered the fine line between art and science. He has lived in England for many years, working in the online industry though he quietly levitated into the world of art inspired by a need to make ‘something real’. Hurwitz discovered that he could use science as an artistic paintbrush. Each of his sculptures is a study on the physics of how we perceive space and is the stroke of over 1 billion calculations and algorithms.

Louis Vuitton – Retracing the Trunk by Les Courtisans is a visual journey through light projection and mapping techniques to celebrate the savoir-faire of the prestigious trunk maker.

This short film by Les Courtisans immerses us in the visual history of Louis Vuitton trunks; jumping back and forth between the many designs developed by the house throughout the years; a graphic explosion at crossroads between the late 19th and early 21st century.
